Welcome to the School Environment Page As you may have noticed, our school is an old Victorian building which has charming features and is steeped in history. However, 130 year-old buildings also need plenty of TLC, so there are areas of the school which need development. Having just refurbished the junior cloakroom toilets, added a library and extension to house the new I.T. room, our next project is the refurbishment of Class 3. |

Play Areas for the Children We have generous outside play areas for our children to run around in. Just click on the icons to the right to view them. You'll see that there's a colourful soft-surface courtyard area, complete with play shed and markings; this provides our foundation stage with outdoor play provision in a safe, stimulating environment. Recent additions to this provision include climbing equipment and raised beds containing different textures to aid exploration of the world. Our larger main playground provides a netball court area, used for playtime football and a variety of games. Our new trim trail offers opportunities for physical development as photos show. Our latest addition is the inclusion of board game benches in the quiet area which are proving popular. We've also utilised wall space as a stimulus for play. |

| Have a look at our interactive gallery and video showing the children playing at playtime. There's plenty of things for them to do and lots of people to play with. The playtimes help the children use up lots of energy so that they're fit and strong. As you'll also see our play environment and facilities give them lots of opportunity to play in a variety of ways. | ||||||
Busy Classrooms You can see that our classrooms are busy places full of learning. It's essential to us that the environment we provide is stimulating and celebrates the children's work and achievements as well as providing visual clues and pointers to support learning. The classrooms on the right are set out in the following order: Foundation Class, Classroom 1, Classroom 2, Classroom 3. |

| School Hall | ||||||
School Hall You can see that our school hall works well as a multi-purpose room. As well as it being used for some indoor PE and assemblies, we can use it as a teaching space for smaller groups as it has the benefit of an Interactive White board. This is also where we eat lunch- we are able to all sit and eat together, preceded by a prayer |

| A major new addition in the school's development is the newly built built extension which houses the I.T. room which also provides much needed space for circle time and music lessons. We also have a bank of 16 laptops which provide us with a flexible approach to ICT teaching. | ||||||
